This cluster tackles the environmental degradation and aims to reverse the decline of biodiversity while improving the management of natural resources. This will be done by empowering food producers to rapidly switch towards sustainable practices using nature-based solutions, technological, digital and social innovations. Reducing our dependency on pesticides, antimicrobials and excess fertilisation will help to reduce our environmental impact while providing affordable, safe, nutritious, healthy and sustainable food.
